Bartomeu calls AlKhelaifi a hypocrite over Neymar

first_imgBarcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, spoke about Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s “hypocrite” complains about other clubs coming after Neymar. There is still no doubt that Neymar’s exit from Barcelona really hurt club’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, who recently responded to Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s complains about other clubs approaching the player to sign him. According to the PSG owner, the Brazilian player should be left alone and there is no reason for other clubs to come after him in the transfer market because he is happy with the French giants. But after these statements during an explosive interview with Marca, in which he went after Real Madrid for the disloyal practices of trying to sign Neymar behind his back, Josep Maria Bartomeu had a lot to respond after the way in which the French club took the Brazilian from the Catalan club. According to the Barcelona president, Al-Khelaifi shouldn’t really complain about anything because of how he went behind the Spanish club’s back and snatched the player from under their noses. These practices become even more complicated for Spanish clubs due to their rescission clauses in their contract, which have become a norm in Spanish football and don’t exist at all in other countries or leagues throughout Europe.El palo de Bartomeu a Al-Khelaifi por el fichaje de Neymar: “Cuando alguien se lamenta debe pensar si él ha hecho lo mismo en alguna ocasión” https://t.co/xhMJ50hPY2 pic.twitter.com/peLB8p2KvZ— Mundo Deportivo (@mundodeportivo) September 18, 2018Bartomeu spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the statement that Al-Khelaifi did five days ago, in which he made a plea for Real Madrid to stay away from Neymar because he wants the Brazilian to finish his career at PSG: “When somebody complains in such manner, I believe he is the one who must think if he has done the same thing in more than one occasion. I don’t think that PSG didn’t hear what Neymar had to say before paying the clause on his contract. How can you complain about hypocrisy? FIFA needs to stop an think about this, they really need to change the rules. In Spain, we have that disadvantage of the rescission clauses. Clubs always know what the price tag of any player is and they always talk to them on under the table. FIFA needs to intervene in this. Now we have other priorities like VAR for example. We have always been in favor of VAR: the fans will get to see that the results with it are fair and the referees need to get that kind of help. But UEFA decided to not use it in the Champions League and they have disappointed me, I’ve already told them that,” said Bartomeu about the PSG owner and the implementation of VAR in the Champions League.Bartomeu: “Nos dolió mucho cómo se fue Neymar. De hecho, aún nos duele. Medina – September 14, 2019 Brazilian superstar Neymar might play today his first game of the season for Paris Saint-Germain and the team’s ultras have warned him. After this Tuesday’s poor start that PSG had in the Champions League, we can be certain that Nasser Al-Khelaifi is biting his nails right now because he knows that his best player will leave the French giants next summer if they fail to win the tournament again. The club’s owner has literally spent over €1 billion in players already since he came to take control of Paris Saint-Germain, a number that piles up the pressure on everybody because the Champions League hasn’t arrived yet. The first club to start this practice of trying to buy this coveted trophy is Roman Abramovic’s Chelsea, the Premier League club needed a little less than a decade to complete their objective. Other clubs like Manchester City have already spent that decade and still haven’t been able to win the Champions League, Al-Khelaifi still has a little bit of margin given that he arrived in Paris back in 2011 but he has spent more money than any of the other two clubs have in the same amount of time. Only with Neymar and Mbappé, the magnate spent over €400 million and this alone is what has made him so paranoid to lose his two main stars.Bartomeu: “El objetivo deportivo es el triplete” https://t.co/SLwrBEvSQ4 pic.twitter.com/fy5WnMEAUs— Futbolestodo.com (@Futbolestodo) September 19, 2018How long do you think Neymar or Mbappé will last at PSG before going to a club with more history?
